The Bronx Museum of the Arts does not accept exhibition proposals.

If you would like to submit your artwork for donation to the permanent collection, please send a letter addressed to The Curatorial Department at The Bronx Museum of the Arts or send an email with the subject line "Permanent Collection Acquisition Proposal" to curatorial@bronxmuseum.org.

In the letter or email, please include: Your intention to offer the work as a gift or for sale, a reproduction of the piece, reason why it would fit into our collection specifically, detailed object information (artist, title, date, medium, dimensions, edition number), and provenance. 

The Bronx Museum of the Arts is proud to join several cultural institutions around New York City in distributing FREE at-home COVID-19 test kits. The kits are available for pick up at the Museum on Tuesdays between 1 - 4pm. Limit one per person while supplies last. Stay tuned for updates.

New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) invites architects to submit proposals for the provision of architectural design and related consulting services for the renovation of the Museum. The renovation includes construction of a new South Wing Atrium and entrance located at the corner of 165 St.

Our borough has been especially affected by COVID-19. As an institution that provides educational resources to thousands of people annually, the Bronx Museum is committed to helping our community during this uncertain time. This page will be regularly updated with resources for those in need.

The Bronx Museum of the Arts is a contemporary art museum that connects diverse audiences to the urban experience through its permanent collection, special exhibitions, and education programs that strive to reflect the borough's dynamic communities.

The Bronx Museum of the Arts opened in 1971 in the public rotunda of the Bronx County Courthouse, at Grand Concourse and 161st Street. A decade later, it moved north to 165th Street into a former synagogue purchased and donated by the City of New York. 

The Bronx Museum Permanent Collection includes over 2,000 artworks of all media, and was assembled under a policy that reflects the institution’s commitment to its surrounding community and audience.
